Refund policy
Last updated October 24, 2026
A booking on Craft Getaways has two parts. You pay us the deposit when you book, and you pay the host the rest of the price directly. Each part has its own refund rules.
Cancel within 72 hours of booking, and we refund your deposit in full. If you book close to the retreat, this time is shorter: it ends at the end of the day before the retreat starts. After that the deposit is not refundable.
If the host cancels the retreat, or it doesn't go ahead, we refund your deposit in full, even if your booking was canceled earlier. If the host moves the dates and you choose a refund, we refund your deposit in full too.
If the host cancels your booking only (not the whole retreat), they must tell you why. Your deposit is refunded only if this happens inside your free cancellation period. That's 72 hours after you book.
Each host chooses a policy for the money you pay them, from Flexible, Moderate and Firm, or writes their own. The retreat page shows it. The host refunds under it. Your booking keeps the policy shown when you booked.
If the host cancels the retreat, the host must refund everything you paid them, in full.
Flexible: Cancel up to the day before the retreat and the host refunds what you paid them. On the day it starts, the host gives no refund.
Moderate: Cancel 30 or more days before the retreat and the host refunds what you paid them. In the last 29 days, the host gives no refund.
Firm: The host doesn't refund what you paid them. You can give your spot to someone else by changing the name on your booking.
Plans change. A travel insurance policy with 'cancel for any reason' cover can protect what you've paid. We don't sell insurance.
We refund the deposit to the way you paid, never as credit.
A refund usually shows on your statement within 5 to 10 business days.
If you can't reach the host about money you paid them, contact us and we'll help you reach them.
